ZA-Z update, 7 September 2026: zazomboid.com launches, then the KY-60 highway board

Released | 1 min read

On 7 September 2026, around Day 23, ZA-Z got its own website. zazomboid.com reads the live server and its save: whether the server is up, the in-game day, the leaderboard, a map of Knox Country and an armoury of every weapon. That evening the emergency radio started scrolling across its pages, and two days later the KY-60 board began timing every survivor on the highway.

#What launched?

  • Live status: ON AIR, RESTARTING or OFFLINE, with the in-game day, zombies put down by everyone, and whether the power and water are on.
  • Leaderboard: hours played, kills and deaths. Everyone starts anonymous; sign in and switch your name on if you want it shown.
  • Map: Knox Country with layers for where survivors roam and die. It never shows a live position or a base.
  • Armoury: every Build 42 weapon with damage, range and the best pick per skill.
  • Your survivor: sign in with your ZA-Z server account (or Steam) to see your own character.

What each page does today: The ZA-Z website.

#The radio ticker

From that evening the strip under the menu scrolls what the in-game emergency broadcast is saying, stamped with the in-game date and hour. Tune in yourself on 107.8 MHz.

#KY-60 highway board (9 September)

The server started checking every survivor on KY-60 once an in-game minute: time on the road, distance, top speed, zombies run over and deaths, plus a timed Run down the straight west of Rosewood. The first Run was logged the same afternoon. Records and rules: KY-60 highway.

#Also that week

On 6 September the dead got faster and learning got quicker: sprinters went from 1 % to 10 % of zombies, XP went from 2x to 3x, and the population went up. Current values: Server settings.
