Yes, ZA-Z has Humvees. KI5's '92 M998 HMMWV and its M101A3 cargo trailer are live, but like every modded vehicle they only spawn on ground nobody had loaded before the mods went in on 26 September 2026. Find one, then hunt down its Auto Manual so you can rebuild what the zombies tear off.
#What it adds
- '92 AM General M998 HMMWV: four seats, a 110-unit rear cargo box, a 95-litre fuel tank and a 7-unit glove box. A burnt-out wreck version turns up too.
- '92 M101A3 Cargo Trailer: 180 units of storage under a tarp or a hard cover, with its own spare wheel.
- Camouflage: the Extra Textures part adds MERDC summer and winter paint to both the Humvee and the trailer.
- 92 AM General M998 Auto Manual: a magazine that teaches 17 recipes: roof rack, hood, front and rear doors, trunk lid, windshield, side window, mudflaps, small and big mufflers, sloped back cover, metal or net trunk barrier, and the trailer's lids, tarp and hard cover.
#Where do I find a Humvee on ZA-Z?
Vehicles roll only when a patch of map loads for the very first time, so anything explored before the mods has none. In a count a week before they went live, under 1 % of Louisville had ever been loaded, against 97 to 100 % of Riverside and Rosewood. Fresh ground is where the Humvees are.
The Humvee is a rare roll among ordinary vehicles: parking lots, trailer parks, rough neighbourhoods, junkyards (where the burnt one is twice as likely), ranger stations and traffic jams. The mod also lists a military spawn zone, but the Build 42 map has no zone by that name, so do not expect a motor pool full of them.
The Auto Manual sits in bookstores, magazine racks and crates, post offices and on mechanic shelves.
#Tips
- You do not need the manual for armour. Anyone with the Welding skill can make makeshift windshield armour (Welding 3), proper windshield and window armour (Welding 4) and the small or big bullbar (Welding 5).
- Manual recipes need Welding 3 to 6, Mechanics 2 to 3 for glass and mudflaps, and Tailoring 2 for the net trunk barrier. Doors are the hardest at Welding 6.
- Replacement doors and hoods also need hinges and handles from that DAMN Library, found in garages and mechanics crates.
- The Humvee and the trailer spawn separately, so grab both when you find a set. For bigger hauls see Trailers! or the M35 cargo truck.
