Constown, the highway town west of Rosewood

Checked | 1 min read

Constown is a small Knox County town that joined ZA-Z's map with the update of 7 November 2026. It sits west of Rosewood on the main highway, around x 5,700, y 11,200, where there used to be nothing but forest: 271 buildings that nobody has looted yet. A four-lane highway runs through the middle of town, and the town grew up around it.

#What is in Constown?

  • The highway strip: shops, restaurants that closed before the world ended, a motel, and two auto repair shops.
  • Public buildings: a school, a police station, a fire station and two Gigamarts.
  • Places to live: rows of newer houses, the older houses around them, and a trailer park.
  • Farms on the edge of town.

Everything there starts from scratch: parked cars where they were left when the world ended, and shelves nobody has touched.

#How do I get to Constown?

Take the main highway west out of Rosewood and keep going. The town sits on both sides of the road, about 1,700 tiles on.

#Can I claim a safehouse in Constown?

Yes, the usual rules apply (see Safehouses). The two Gigamarts stay open to everyone, like every Gigamart: Claim Safehouse is greyed out there (see Buildings you can't claim).

#Does Constown have power?

Yes, while the Rosewood South substation runs. Constown is on Rosewood's grid: with two generators running at that yard the town has lights and running mains water, and when they stop it goes dark and its taps run dry, the same moment as Rosewood (see Power and Water).

A generator of your own keeps a building lit either way. When the taps are dry, water comes from rain, rivers and wells.
