Spongie's Clothing

Spongie's Clothing adds new jackets, coats and layers to ZA-Z, most of which open and roll up like the game's own. The pick of the bunch for survival is the armoured police jacket, which adds bullet protection on top of bite and scratch defence. You find the rest in wardrobes, clothing stores and on the zombies that wear them.

#What it adds

• Jackets and coats: bomber jacket, flight jacket, field jacket, pea coat, winter coat, winter jacket, quilted jacket, denim jacket, ribbed leather jacket, tweed suit jacket and pants.
• Armoured police jackets in two lengths (stats below).
• Layers: quilted shirt, military sweater, turtleneck sweater vest, windbreaker vest, compression T-shirt, long sleeve, shorts and leggings, arm warmers, military fingerless gloves.
• A Turn into Flight Vest recipe: scissors and a flight jacket make a flight vest (Tailoring XP).

#Where do I find it on ZA-Z?

In wardrobes and dressers, clothing stores (jackets, formal, leather, winter, sports and women's sections), camping and army surplus stores, gym, hunting, police and prison guard lockers, and army barracks. Winter clothing storage is the richest spot for the bomber and the winter coat.

Zombies wear it too: zombie cops in police areas can have the armoured jacket, bars and rock spots have a biker look, rich streets have coats, and denim turns up on ordinary zombies everywhere. Kill them, then check the corpse.

Only new rolls count: containers filled before the clothing mods went in on 27 September 2026 hold the old loot. The loot respawn (every 720 in-game hours, about 90 real hours) can refill looted town containers with the new clothes.

#Tips

• The long armoured jacket is the tank build: the best protection here, but you run at 80 % speed. Swap to the short one for scavenging runs.
• Opening and rolling up these jackets runs on Spongie's Open Jackets. Open is cooler in summer but keeps you less warm and dry.
