ZA-Z update, 3 October 2026: ZA-Z FM, live music on 100.0 MHz

Released | 1 min read

Knox County has music again. Since the 17:12 SAST restart on 3 October 2026, every radio on ZA-Z can tune to 100.0 MHz and play ZA-Z FM, the server's own station: 170 songs on a loop, rock, pop-punk, hip hop and electronic, the same song at the same moment for everyone on the server. It comes with our new mod, ZA-Z's Tunes, which downloads when you join.

#What changed for you

  • Any radio plays it. A handheld, a household set or a car radio: switch it on, tune to 100.0 MHz, and the static turns into music at the radio's own volume. The game's Music slider applies too.
  • Car radios tune again. The Real True Music gives cars a cassette stereo that cannot tune stations. ZA-Z's Tunes brings back the game's own radio window in cars, so 100.0 MHz works on the road. You can switch that off under Options > Mods > ZA-Z's Tunes.
  • Others hear your radio. A radio left on in a base or a parked car carries about 14 tiles.
  • Don't want it? Untick Play ZA-Z FM through my radios in the same options page.

#Meet the DJ

The station is run by Zibby Zoons, broadcasting from a hideout across the Ohio River with a generator, a pile of records and a shotgun with a name. Rebel News went to meet her: Static's Dead. Zibby Killed It. More on her, and how to tune in, on ZA-Z FM.
